| The BMW Z3 Roadster
was build from 1996 to 2002. It was available with engines
ranging from 1.9l (the initial 4 Cylinder version) to 3.2l (the ///M Roadster and Coupe). Nearly
300,000 total vehicles were produced, all variants
combined. The last Z3 rolled off the assembly line in June
of 2002.
I had the pleasure of owning a
2001 Z3 3.0i from August of 2000 (just in time for Homecoming)
until February of 2002, when illness forced me to part with
it. Fortunately things started to look up again enough for
me to get another of these great vehicles at the end of May in
2002. That time I got an ///M
